This week, the students of IMI International Hospitality Undergraduate Studies program, under the guidance of F&B teacher Patrick Farran, successfully displayed their restaurant projects in the format of a "One Day Pop-up Restaurant".
On November 29th, students of group UG14Fa presented their restaurant project called SWEET & SAVOUR. It was an unforgettable day in the style of Andy Warhol.. The walls of SWISSAM Hospitality Business & Culinary Arts School were adorned with bright and colorful posters. The SWEET & SAVOUR restaurant team invited staff and students to try incredibly tasty waffles and shakes. The shakes were decorated with chocolate, marshmallows, cotton candy, cookies, brownies and donuts. Hot waffles were served with a variety of toppings.
On November 30th, the students of group UG14Fb opened a one day restaurant called "The JARage" under the symbolic SWISSAM balloon in the lobby. The students came up with an interesting concept for the restaurant: a unique supply of food and drinks, which can only be served in special glass jars with a wide neck. Customers of the pop-up restaurant "The JARage" tried fresh and delicious breakfasts, soups, salads and desserts.
Visitors of the one-day restaurants became participants of an ongoing charity project in St. Petersburg, "Nochlezhka" is part of the charity campaign "espresso-help." All proceeds made from the sale of coffee and other beverages were donated to support the shelter, which is located on Borovoy, 112b and is the largest in the city center for homeless people.
We would like to congratulate the students for their impressive displays of restaurant projects and wish them success in their future careers in the hospitality industry!
